3D Artist of the Month
The arrival of the new year brings some change to our ‘ArtWanted’ campaign, though mostly in name: going forward, we aim to highlight the wonderful work of our community under the moniker ‘RebusArt’. Make no mistake though, art is still very much wanted! We hope you continue to submit your images and scenes, so we can share just a tiny amount of the great content that is produced at our render farm every day. Leading by example in January 2023 is Reza Sharifzadeh, who sent us a beautiful and whimsical landscape lined with ‘Mountain Cottages’.
Join us on our journey as venture deep into the woods and explore the undergrowth of the artist’s mind!
Hello 2023! A new year means twelve new ‘3D Artists of the Month’, with us here at the Rebus render farm featuring their submissions and exploring the story behind their work through exclusive interviews. Kicking off the year is archviz artist Sara Viana and her beautiful ‘House in Alentejo’, a countryside villa in the architectural style of the eponymous region in her home country Portugal. Inspired to learn and professionally pursue CGI as a means of creative and emotional expression, Sara is looking to share her designs with the world.
In our interview, Sara talks about career choices, establishing connections through 3D renders, and explains why she thinks of herself as a virtual photographer.
As another eventful year draws to a close, we can all use a little break to reflect and refocus. Karnvir Gulati, our final 3D Artist of the Month of 2022, offers a timely digital retreat and invites us to his ‘Zen Space’, an ascetic meditation chamber. Its distinct esoteric purpose sets the room apart from both residential and commercial interiors, making for an interesting design choice. Take a deep breath, gather your chi and join us at the Rebus render farm on a most mindful archviz journey!

Interior designers and archviz artists are crafters of dreams. With nothing but their vivid imagination and the power of CG technology, they create places of longing for us to find comfort and serenity in. Francisco Cuevas, our November 2022 3D Artist of the Month, invites you to such a digital oasis and enjoy some ‘Afternoon Delight’! An elegant and open interior, his submission to our render farm is not only a masterclass in textures and materials, but a showcase of a keen understanding of leisure design.
Continue reading to learn more about Francisco, his professional history, and his latest personal work.
One of the greatest things about CGI is being able to enjoy sites from all over the world from the comfort of your desk chair. This sentiment is shared by M. Serhat Sezgin, our October 2022 3D Artist of the Month, who loves acquainting himself with different cultures and audiences from all over the world through his archviz work. An experienced interior and furniture designer, Serhat impressed us with his design of the Kazakh ‘Almati Café’, an opulent structure housing a lushly decorated interior.
In our interview, Serhat talks about artistic adaptability, historical inspirations, and gives insight into his design process.
Throughout human history, myths and folklore have served as an important outlet for our desire for creative expression. While often fantastical in nature, the themes and morals contained within these age-old stories still apply to and reflect our experiences. It is no wonder then, that their universal appeal continues to inspire creative minds to this day, and Fabricio Rezende, our Rebus Render Farm September 2022 3D Artist of the Month, is no exception! His depiction of a leprechaun sees the traditionally mischievous creature far removed from its pot of gold, a hauntingly hopeless victim of abject poverty.
In our interview, Fabricio recalls his professional journey from the agricultural to the video game industry, reveals the real-life origins of his leprechaun, and speaks on the importance of finding your own artistic voice.
The South American CG industry has been making waves for quite some time now, consistently producing top talent artists and work of the highest quality. Brazil, in particular, has established itself as home to a tight-knit community, and we are more than happy to once again shine the light on one of its more recent members: Arthur Sthefano Cavalcanti e Souza, our August 2022 3D Artist of the Month. A year ago, Arthur founded his own company Arca 3D Creative Studio with a friend, and together, they have been on a mission to shape the future, one pixel at a time.
In our interview, Arthur reflects on his personal strength and weaknesses, recounts his professional history, and remembers his human and feline companions along the way.
While we are always thrilled to feature new talent in our 3D Artist of the Month campaign, from time to time we like to check up on old friends. This month sees the return of Dennis Grimm, co-founder and CEO of DARQVIZ, a nomad studio that aims to disrupt the world of architectural visualization. Founded two years ago amidst the height of a global pandemic, the company is evolving rapidly and ready to take the next step into an increasingly bright looking future.
Continue reading as Dennis brings us up on all of the latest developments, introduces a new addition to the DARQVIZ team, and talks about seeking out new opportunities at offline events.
While architecture is always a product of its time, it also has the power to transcend time. When Gabriela Mazur, our June 2022 3D Artist of the Month, was first laid eyes on the plans of the ‘Casa Ayahuasca’, she was immediately spellbound by the bold concept. Located deep within the Mexican jungle, the fusion of a Mayan temple and an ancient Roman villa tingled her creative sensibilities. After all, who could resist the challenge of capturing the unique and mysterious atmosphere of a paradise lost?
Join us on an architectural journey through space and time, as Gabriela discusses the creation of the ‘Casa Ayahuasca’, tangible inspirations, and the philosophy of movement.

The world of architectural visualization is a never-ending source of delight, exploring and developing space in everchanging configurations. This month, Piotr Kostyła invites us to his 'Winter Garden' to play a relaxing game of chess or simply admire the lush greenery in a cozy rocking chair. His most recent personal project has already earned him significant recognition as well as numerous accolades, and we are more than happy to join the club and feature Piotr as our May 2022 3D Artist of the Month!
Join us in the winter garden as we trace the origins of the project back to fond childhood memories, take a closer look at the development process, and discuss the Polish CG community.

While beauty undoubtedly lies in the eye of the beholder, it is usually understood to mean "pleasing to our aesthetic sensibilities". To Claudia Lühl, our March 2022 3D Artist of the Month, beauty is particularly pleasing when it is complemented and contrasted with darker undertones. Crowning her recent graduation from the renowned Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games and Animation, the 3D character artist reinterpreted a concept of a young child holding a lamb. A second glance at this seemingly perfect depiction of 'Innocence', however, reveals something unsettling lurking beneath the surface…
Join us, as Claudia dives deep into the creation of her latest project, talks about the hardships of studying during the pandemic, and her affinity for disquieting beauty.

Architectural visualization is a global phenomenon in the truest sense of the word. Kirill Chernyy, our 2022 February 3D Artist of the Month, chaperones us from a small Kaliningrad town all the way to the heart of the Big Apple, where he shows us the bustling city life on the streets of Manhattan through the moody lens of a seriously talented archviz artist. To accompany the recent launch of his own studio, Kirill wanted to create something special for his personal portfolio and set his sights on fabled New York City.
In our interview, Kirill takes us behind the scenes of what he considers the supreme discipline of his craft: the city streetscape.

Combining her anatomical studies with a message of species conservation, Flore's 'Orangutan' highlights the beauty of the critically endangered great ape. A fifth-year student at ARTFX School of Digital Arts, Flore, aspires to create strange and fantastical beasts, pushing the boundaries between reality and imagination.

Today marks a much-welcomed break from the luxurious interiors of glossy magazine pages, courtesy of David Zamanov, our October 2021 3D Artist of the Month! His approach to architectural visualization is inherently artistic and expressive, his interior design deliberately counterbalances the decadent and gaudy style of our times. For his 'Authentica Variations', an eclectic blend of minimalism, Gypset and ancient Chinese philosophy, David forgoes pomp in favor of comforting simplicity.
In our interview, David talks about feeling alien, founding his own studio, and the ethics of minimalism.

While Iranian architect and visualizer Tina Tajaddodherself humbly declines the label of 3D artist, her soulful and intimately personal approach to CGI left us no choice but to select her as our September 2021 '3D Artist of the Month'! Skillfully crafted architectural reflections of her thoughts and feelings, Tina's work offers a unique and authentic glimpse into her mind. Although a design of individual creative expression, she nonetheless invites the viewer to seek refuge in her 'Quiet Place'.
In our interview, Tina discusses the Iranian CG community, introversion and the search for inner peace.

WhenInes Dga, our August 2021 3D Artist of the Month, put her heart and soul into creating a unique and touching birthday present for a special someone, the Tunisian interior designer gifted the entire CG community a wonderful scene. ‘Make a Wish’, her take on a Scandinavian kitchen interior, has already made waves online, and is a sure sign of a great artist on the rise.
In our interview, Ines talks about juggling work and her PHD-studies, female representation in the CG industry, and the power of 3D as a canvass of creative expression.
